Lifestyle: Being Home In The Cotswolds

What an amazing weekend – we have all been blessed to have such continuous, gorgeous sunshine again; Saturday England won another match and Sunday we explored some much loved spots around my parents Cotswold home.

Saturday was spent window shopping in Stow, posing with hollyhocks, relaxing in the garden soaking up rays of sunshine in a hammock, until it was time to pop to the local to watch the football. I can think of worse ways of spending a lazy weekend with family. Congratulations to the England team for securing our place in the semi-finals, turned out to be good game in the end. The evening was hilarious, I seemed to end up dancing the evening away on picnic tables and sitting up until the early hours putting the world to right with mother in their cute little beach hut in the garden.

Sunday was a lovey day, waking up to brilliant sunshine and perfect peace. Come afternoon we went for a wander and gazed upon seas of luscious lavender fields. I remember when I was younger and if I couldn’t sleep my mum and dad would drive down to Snowshill Lavender with the windows down so I could smell it. We tried to make a dash to Daylesford to have a browse but got there at closing time. It was fine though don’t panic, I still managed to get on of their delicious brownies – honestly they really, really are beyond amazing.

I hope everyone has had a great and wonderful weekend. I am ready for another hectic week but feel positive I am going to smash it. It has been lovely to spend some quality time with my parents and my other half! It is true what they say – a Sunday well spent brings a weekend of content.

Have a great week all!
