So I thought that it had been a while since I blogged an outfit choice.
If you are living in the United Kingdom at the moment you might be a tad thrown like myself by what to wear at the moment.
Having had a very good run with the summer weather in England this year, I am pleased to say that it is still continuing through into now early October. However the mornings are starting to freshen up which is a tad chilly, especially if you are travelling into work.
My key to beginning this season is layers! Layers that keep you warm but still have a summer vibe to them, whilst mixing it up with this seasons new fashion pieces.
On this day as you can see the sun was shining beautifully but it was a tad cool. Therefore I pulled on some cute black knee high socks because I cannot pull off an over the knee boot and paired them up with these super cute brown checked long shorts.
The shorts were a bargain find, that I purchased last autumn/winter from a music store in Cheltenham. They are so warm and really cute, plus I love the colours as they definitely fit into the autumnal category.
Keeping the top half simple so as not to detract from the bottom too much, I threw on a black long sleeved top from American Apparel with a faux fur gilet which I have had for years from Warehouse. I am a complete and utter sucker for anything furry and this just fit the bill for the look I was going for.
The necklaces are pretty old too and I believe both were from La Redoute and were layered to add a personalised edge to the look. I love beads, any beads big or small purely because I am a bit of a hippy at heart.
I also love hats, any hats. I do not care how ridiculous I look in them and my father will be the first to say how silly I look. With a fedora hat though I don't think anyone can go wrong, they suit any face shape.
Now I am ready to enjoy my sun shiny day :) Hope you enjoy your day too! Xxx
