LA Biosthetique

La Biosthetique is a new cleanser trial, I am doing at the moment. It is a fairly new one on me, although I am pretty sure I have heard it being bounced around from time to time.

On one of my regular waxing trips to my local beauty salon, set in the lovely honey pot town of Stow-on-the-Wold (a traditional hot spot for snap happy tourists) I came across this find with the help of my beautician. I came for my usual wax when I was complaining to her how awful my skin was and that it was an utter nuisance - having been around my birthday.

Bubbles is an amazing beautician and her skin looks absolutely incredible! She has an enviable, radiant complexion, that glows and you know she isn't wearing make up. We ladies do not share our ages beyond a point and all I will say is I want my skin to look like that in a few years. I had to ask what she was using and her regime, because as I lay there having my delicate bits waxed, I felt a bit cheated that my expensive purchases at Estée Lauder had not been giving me the effect I thought it would.

Bubbles exclaimed she was using the La Biosthetique skin care range they had very recently started to supply at the salon. I said I would have to try some when I was in pocket a bit more.

Maybe she took pity on me for my terrible swollen, red pimples that day but bless her heart, she gave me some cleanser to try for a month to see how I got on. It takes around a month to see any change when you first start using any product on your skin.

After around a week, I could already see a dramatic improvement, with my skin looking dewy and my little lines finer. My Clarins for oily/combination skin was too much for me and ended up drying my skin out, which inevitably leads to your glands producing more oil, giving you spots.

Having been obsessed with my Clarisonic brush as part of my cleansing routine as well - which I have mentioned on here before, was told i was over using it. I now use it once or twice a week for a good clean as it over stimulates your glands, producing more oil.

I have been back recently to the salon to purchase a bottle of La Biosthetique cleansing lotion, method relaxante that suits my skin type. It is similar to a cold cream and you only need to apply a very small amount to your face. Once applied you simply wash off with warm water. Or if you have a bit more time for a bit of pampering time, then leave it on for 5-10 minutes and steam off with a hot flannel.

This cleansing lotion aims to protect your skin with skin related lipids to stabilise the skins barrier. It will also restore the natural skin balance, soothe and calm the skin. It does what it says on the tin and I can tell within a month of using this that it is a winner, plus it smells really nice too, which I love and looks quite chic in the bathroom.

Enjoy your LA Biosthetique at your nearest salon and ask a member of staff to help find the best match to suit your skins needs.
