Chlobo's Closet hopes all of you had a wonderful weekend. It was a shame the weekend was not blessed with some warm sun but at least a majority of it was dry for a rare change this week.
From a recent visit to our local organic farm;Daylesford I tried a delicious asparagus and Parmesan risotto dish that my friend had ordered. It was so delicious, I have seriously thought about it all week and was looking forward to a little treat. So saturday afternoon I went over with an empty stomach, eager and excited for my risotto lunch. Then it dawned on me that asparagus is a seasonal vegetable and may not be on the menu anymore. I then proceeded to scan the menu numerous times, trying to convince myself that my eyes were wrong and that the risotto was definitely on there somewhere and just hiding. It was too late, my delicious dish was no longer. I really kicked myself for not ordering it whilst I had the chance or for not going back earlier. It was not the be all and end all, I thoroughly enjoyed my back up; of whelsh rarebit and a heavenly chilli chutney, washed down with a delightful glass of rose. It was lovely to have a wander around the barns and see if there was anything that took my fancy. We were very impressed with the beautiful flower arrangements in the flower barn, incredibly chic, delicate and fresh displays of delicate, seasonal flowers.
If you have not already, you should really arrange a visit to Dayledford Organic Farm. With locally sourced organic products, with pretty presentation and an excellent choice of gifts and home accessories, there is something for everyone. Or just pop over to sample some of the many things from their restaurants. Who knows you might even bump into a celebrity or two. It really has become the hub of the Cotswolds.
Having decided to have a relaxing weekend at home in Condicote. We were fortunate to attend our neighbours 50th birthday party. The sun made an evening appearance and the village was kissed with warm rays. The flowers came out full bloom and it was a great opportunity to enjoy a lovely walk to and from the venue. We had a wonderfully relaxed weekend for once and had a brilliant time.
What did you all do over the weekend? Leave your comments below.
