The show was a huge success and took place at 8.00pm, Wednesday at the Stratford Arthouse. So without further ado, we are here to tell you all about the glitz and the glam from behind the stage, to the lengths of the runway!
A long day for everyone involved, from the technicans to the make up and hair teams. There was no time to stop until the whole show was finished, which does not mean that every second was not an absolute blast!
With a few run throughs nailed over at the Arthouse, involving no trips or falls. We left feeling rather confident with ourselves and it was time to start getting into our roles, with the start of outfits, makeup and hair.
Hours in hair and make up with the Gorgeous Obsession team, before making our way down to the studios for a photo shoot pre-show. Huge round of applause to the girls who never sat down and had the patience of saints, doing make up and fitting wigs on everyone . The makeup and wigs definitely had everyone talking, with their vibrant colours and intricate makeup detailing, bringing all of William Shakespeare's, The Tempest characters from legend to modern day life.
After our fun and giggly photo shoot (professional photos will be coming soon!), we had around an hour to relax briefly, have some delicious food and a quick drink. Yes some models eat, well we did and thanks El Grecco for the amazing food!
Luckily we were on in the first interval, there is nothing worse than waiting around feeling a bag of nerves. Being backstage was fabulous, champagne was flowing and there was a true buzz to the atmosphere. Sharing our dressing room were the stunning girls representing Domino. The outfits were to die for, I certainly had my eye on a beautiful cut out dress, in a gorgeous water colour inspired print, topped off with a very on trend pastel pink cape (by Ted Baker at Domino, if you love it as much as me). In a way I am glad I didn't have time to watch any of the show, as my bank balance would have taken a massive hit. Take a look below at the cutest spring and summer looks from Domino, perfect for that wedding, christening or a day at the races.
Following Domino, was our dramatic entrance for Gorgeous Obsession. It only felt seconds we were on, but every moment was electric being back on a catwalk and what fun it was with those girls! I hope everyone who came liked it as much as we did, according to our artists floating around backstage we caused quite a stir.
Having slinked off the runway with all the sass we could physically and mentally muster, that was it - done for another time.
I would like to thank everyone for their support, especially to all the girls at Gorgeous Obession for all their hard work! Thank you for letting Chlobo's Closet be involved!
With all the seats taken that night, I hope lots of money was raised for a good cause!
Hope you enjoyed our little insight into what was a great Wednesday well spent!
Love
